Dahlia

This was an early experimental design, the measurements being worked out as it was being made. The plastic was dyed using pastel shades and then the colours were arranged randomly throughout. The pieces of shaped plastic were tied together to form a geometric pattern. It is called Dahlia due to the overall effect being reminiscent of the ball shaped flowers with their curling petals. The looped plastic strips contribute to the sturdiness of the structure. It measures approx. 40cm /16″ in diameter.
